Scientific Drilling International (SDI), a privately held directional drilling service company, has announced the promotion of Chip Abrant to the position of senior V.P., Global Operations and Sales. In this new position, Mr. Abrant will lead Western and Eastern Hemisphere operations, and the sales and technical support teams.

 

This unified approach between SDI's sales and operations will ensure Scientific Drilling maintains optimal profitability during the current market conditions, and is poised for growth as it begins to recover, according to a company statement announcing the appointment.

SDI also announced the appointment of Dana Armstrong as senior V.P. and CFO.
